  • Understand and use:
    • rational numbers (whole numbers, including in expanded form; integers; positive and negative fractions; and decimals to thousandths)
    • exponents
    • common factors and common multiples
    • paired quantities that are directly proportional, including ratios and rates, identified in real-life situations (e.g., the number of servings and the quantities in a recipe, mass and volume of a substance, circumference and diameter of a circle)
    • translations between equivalent forms of a number, i.e., fractions, decimals, and percents
