**Grade 3 – Developing Proficiency with Operations**

- Add and subtract whole numbers to 1000
- Add and subtract money amounts to make simulated purchases and change for amounts up to $10
- Recognize the inverse relationship between addition and subtraction and apply this understanding in doing calculations
- Recognize the inverse relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., since 4 × 5 = 20, then 20 ÷ 5 = 4) and apply this understanding in doing calculations
